By the end of March, the Chancellor’s House, a luxury boutique hotel now under construction in Oxford, MS was ready to celebrate with a Topping Out ceremony.

The “Topping Out” photo opportunity was held Wednesday, March 30th, at 10:30am. Media and cameramen gathered at the parking lot of Abner’s Restaurant (430 South Lamar Blvd) across from the hotel site. This “topping out” featured lifting a beautiful Magnolia tree, the state’s official tree, to the rooftop alongside the hardhat crew from Carothers Construction. This was the signal that Chancellor’s House was nearing its opening.

Progress has continued since then with the opening coming in a few months. During this period of the management team has been working full speed with a growing staff taking reservations and planning the details that will make Chancellor’s House so special.

Pictures at the celebration include members of the construction team from Carothers Construction.
